MapText, Inc., the leader in high-quality
cartographic text placement software announced today that it has
added two new organizations to its prestigious customer base in
the Province of Ontario, Canada.
The City of Ottawa and the Region of Peel
joined the list of organizations that have recognized the enormous
productivity gain they can achieve by integrating the Label-EZ
text placement software into their map production process. After
a thorough evaluation, they both decided for Label-EZ to
improve the quality of maps they produce and to significantly reduce
the time spent on the most time-consuming and tedious part of map production,
that is, label placement. The City of Ottawa and the Region of Peel
selected MapText's software primarily because it provides extremely
high cartographic quality for various types of maps and is compatible
with all the popular GIS systems.
Prior to implementing MapText's text placement
solutions, both the City of Ottawa and the Region of Peel used only the
rudimentary built-in text placement technology within their GIS systems
for producing maps. With MapText's technology, their GIS staff is now able
to prepare the complex maps that previously took weeks to be labeled, in
a matter of minutes.
MapText has built an impressive customer
base in Ontario thanks to our strong value proposition, the uniqueness of
our product, and the enormous productivity gain it can generate,
commented Dr. Herbert Freeman, the President of MapText, Inc. Our
solutions have previously been adopted in the Province by the City of Toronto,
the City of Mississauga, Elections Ontario, and Natural Resources Canada
with extremely positive feedback, Dr. Freeman added.
