Plainsboro,
New Jersey - July 13, 2006
MapText's premier cartographic labeling software,
Label-EZ 4.8, now offers the ability to output the fully symbolized
features and the placed labels into Adobe Illustrator CS2. A post-editing
plugin called Label-Edit is provided to users for easy map finishing.
Label-Edit is also available for Adobe Illustrator 9, 10, and CS1.
The increase in popularity of Adobe Illustrator CS2 prompted MapText to
develop a compatible interface between CS2 and Label-EZ. MapText
believes that users will benefit significantly from this addition specifically
in terms of map quality and production speed. So far, several leading map
publishers have benefited from Label-EZ and its output to Adobe
Illustrator.
MapText's market-leading software system, Label-EZ, places text fully
automatically on maps of any scale and style according to the highest
cartographic standards and precise user preferences extremely quickly and
cost-effectively. This results in enormous time and cost savings for users.
Label-EZ provides users with conflict detection across all layers of
information. Users can set placement rules for individual layers and also
control the relative priority among layers.
