| MapText Wins Contract from Michael Baker

MapText, Inc., the leader in high-quality cartographic
text placement software announced today that it was awarded a contract by Michael
Baker, Jr., Inc. to deliver automated text placement solutions under Baker’s
landmark five-year $750 million contract with the Department of Homeland Security's
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Baker will act as Program Manager to develop,
plan, manage, implement, and monitor the Multi-Hazard Flood Map Modernization
(MHFMM) Program for flood hazard mitigation across the United States and its
territories. MapText’s easy-to-configure software solutions will be used to
place names on those maps according to the highest cartographic standards.
MapText will also work with Baker to customize its flagship Label-EZ
text placement software to specific cartographic requirements.
By winning this important contract, MapText proved
again that its label placement technology can generate enormous cost savings
and productivity gain, while providing uncompromising cartographic quality,
