Plainsboro,
New Jersey - October 5, 2004
MapText and KOREM - MapInfo's master
distributor for the province of Quebec - signed a software reseller
agreement to distribute MapText's Label-EZ automated
cartographic text placement product in Canada, the companies announced today.
MapText's market-leading software system,
Label-EZ, places text fully automatically on maps of any
scale and style according to the highest cartographic standards, quickly
and cost-effectively. Considering that text placement is the most
expensive and time-consuming part of mapmaking, Label-EZ's impact
on productivity is enormous. In addition to MapInfo, Label-EZ is
fully compatible with most other major GIS systems.
KOREM and its customers love MapInfo
Professional. Even though it has powerful functionalities, MapInfo
Professional may require some external help for particular mapping tasks,
like labeling. This is why KOREM has chosen to offer its customers with
heavy production mapping requirements, the Label-EZ application from
MapText. Label-EZ is the perfect tool for those heavy users as it places
text on maps automatically, without any human intervention says
Luc Vaillancourt, V.P. Business Development at KOREM.
MapText is glad to see a steadily
increasing demand for our powerful high-quality text placement tool among
MapInfo users. We feel that our partnership with KOREM will have an
enormous impact on our presence and brand recognition in the Canadian
GIS and cartographic markets, Dr. Herbert Freeman, President
of MapText, Inc. commented.
